Established under the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973, the Council is entrusted with regulating the legal profession, safeguarding the rights, dignity, and welfare of advocates, promoting professional excellence, and strengthening the administration of justice.
As the guardian of legal ethics and professional standards, the Council is committed to ensuring integrity, independence, and competence within the legal fraternity.
Through transparent governance, effective regulation, legal education, and continuous professional development, we strive to uphold the rule of law and protect the constitutional rights of every citizen.
